Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.24% in January 1–Monday

MOSCOW, Jan 11 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation amounted to 0.24% from January 1 through Monday, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.

The prices for fruit and vegetables grew by 6.5% on average. The price for cucumbers increased by 13%, for tomatoes by 12.9%, for carrots 6.7%, for onions 6.3%, for red beetroot 5.4%, for white cabbage 2.4%, for potatoes 2%, for apples 1.5% and for bananas 1%.

The prices for buckwheat fell by 1.4%, for rice 0.8%. The prices for cooked sausages rose by 0.62%.
